Message seriously inflict personal damage, so I do sincerely take the banter as due process and roll with the punches - full tank of fuel withstanding. :) But remember, we aren't debating 2.5" intake piping right now - this ball was hit from your side of the court. ;-)

Your testing is commendable - I can't argue the half volt improvement you noted after installing additional grounding and larger alternator lead. The fact you took the time to check that warrants a real pat on the back. :) Just be careful of those that may say you didn't check the voltage on the same day, same environmental conditions - those guys like rotten apples. ;-)

I guess the real question here is whether or not it is advantageous to spend the loot on a grounding web kit or simply to replace/clean the OE battery harnesses. Perhaps a new harness with clean terminals would have also produced the same increase in system voltage? ... and without the additional complexity associated with grounding webs?

Analogously, one could say that a good Optima battery is better than a defective Interstate battery if they didn't have knowledge of the fact that the Interstate battery was actually defective.

I know..... trivia ad nauseum..

but it is better than listening to a key-holder, no? ;-)
